Yesterday we were at the Masstown Market, discussing which Nova Scotia beer to get, and we were approached by Mr. MacDonald and after some discussion he suggested we stop at his sons place to camp. 20km later there we were at his place, right across from a salt marsh off the Bay of Fundy.
Andrew, the son, showed up and took us to grab some more beers. That night he treated us to the first campfire of our trip! Amazing hospitality, great experiences so far. Everyone has been great!
We had a bit of a late start the next morning… The third day of biking was by far the worst yet. I got some chafing and both of us were in rough shape. I won’t be stingy with the change cream again! My bike felt like it weighed 500 lbs. On the bright side we were moving along and ran across this place.
I am not sure how this will read with all the pictures breaking it up. Many of the pictures I am posting separately (look at the top or something). I digress, after the farm we slogged on. We hit Economy “Mountain”, obviously it isn’t a real mountain, it is just a ridiculously Huge Hill (yes, capital H). I am not ashamed to say we walked our bikes up it! The top had a pretty good view.
The downhill was amazing, longest downhill ride I have ever had the pleasure of biking. I made a video of it but it was much more fun to bike it than it was to watch the video.
Eventually we managed to make our planned destination (Parsboro), and then we did another 10km to get to a campsite. We are camping right by the water, watching the tide come in. Well this has been a pretty long post, so I will leave it at that. We might take the day off tomorrow, we will see.
